It’s a bit chilly outside in Boston as I write this, it’s October already and the end of the year is rushing toward us. Today’s round up of great blog posts hasn’t a particular focus but as always, some cool tips.

  • SocialText has rolled out version 3.0 of their social wiki application. This new version has a dashboard, workspaces and seeks to connect team members together via a social space for working on projects in a wiki environment. There is a 14 day free trial.
  • We all love numbers to tell us how effectively a method is working. Cone, Inc., a communications and brand building company, surveyed a group of Americans to ask them about social media and customer service. 85% said that companies should be involved in social media and use it to interact with their customers.
  • There are a lot of great social networking tools out there, so it’s understandable if marketers overlook a few. Chris Brogan talks about three you should look at and how marketers can use them.
  • Michael Brito gave an interview to the Chicago Tribute and transparency was one of the topics. While building relationships online we have to be careful to be honest about what we’re doing. Lying will only damage those relationships.
  • Should you include site search for your website? Well, it depends on the content and the size. Stoney deGeyter shares his thoughts.
