Vibemetrix understands that the blogosphere has grown to include microblogging, social networking, lifestreaming, and dedicated comment systems. As the Internet conversation becomes increasingly fragmented, new tools and techniques are needed to participate in a constructive and efficient manner. Together we will be exploring this expanding universe of conversation.

Our Team

Bruce Twickler, Chairman

Bruce Twickler is President of Docema, LLC, the film company that produced the ground-breaking documentary Damrell’s Fire (2006) for PBS and is currently producing Broadside, the Influence of Sea Power on History (2009). Bruce graduated from MIT with a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering; was on the technical staffs of GenRad and MITRE Corp; and, he spent a dozen years in the consumer electronics industry, the last few as VP of Marketing for Pioneer Electronics. In the early personal computer market of the 1980s, he was President/CEO of Hayden Software and later, Shiva Corporation. In the late 1990s, his Internet company, Andover.Net, with over 50% of all Linux-related internet traffic, enjoyed one of the most successful initial public offerings of that era.

Adam Green, CEO

Adam Green has been a software guy for the last 28 years. In the Eighties he was a dBASE guru. During the Dot Com era he was the CTO of Andover.net. After Andover.net went public, he took a break from software to get a Masters Degree in the History of Science at Harvard. Now he’s back in the game again as the CEO and co-founder of Grazr Corp.

Michael Kowalchik, CTO

Co-founder, CTO, and all around code ninja. In addition to web technology, has a background in parallel computing, distributed computing systems, storage arrays, and all manner of things with blinky lights on them. Invariably described as an “idea hamster”, Michael is always looking to find the next great hack.

Kurt Gray, Senior Programmer

Kurt Gray has been doing computer programming since 1987 and web site infrastructure development since 1997. He has previously worked behind the scenes for popular web sites such as Slashdot.org and SourceForge.net. Kurt’s interests include dingy sailing, computer languages, and stacking blocks with his two year-old son.

Eric Whitten, Senior Programmer

Eric Whitten has been writing code and invalidating warranties since his first computer at age 8. Since then, he’s worked for a variety of startups and intelligence consulting firms, helping with usability and presentation of data. When not working, he can generally be found in the kitchen or on his bicycle.

Advisory Board

Brian Aker

Brian Aker is the Director of Technology for MySQL. At MySQL he helps set direction for technology and looks for opportunies to harness and shape the MySQL database for efforts in Web, OEM, and Telephony. In his copious amounts of free time he works on Apache and Perl modules, libmemcached, and hacks on the Asterisk Telephony System (hence never has a working home phone number). In the past, he has been involved with projects for the Army Engineer Corps, The Virtual Hospital, Splunk, Grazr, and Slashdot. He lives in Seattle with his dog Rosalynd.

Richard Anders

Richard Anders is a seasoned entrepreneur with a strong background and interest in computers and life sciences. A lawyer by training, he founded Jurisoft, which he sold to Lexis/Nexis, published Boston Digital Industry, and was a founding trustee of the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council. Mr. Anders is a trustee of the Boston Museum of Science, a member of the MIT/Harvard Medical School HST program advisory council and a corporator of the Boston Biomedical Research Institute. He was a founder of the angel group Launchpad and serves on the board of Quosa. Mr. Anders is a graduate Summa Cum Laude in mathematics from Harvard and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

James Corbett

James is an Irish entrepreneur who graduated from University of Limerick with a degree in Computer Engineering and went on to work for Apple Computer and Motorola before setting up his first online business in 1998.

Dr. David Weinberger

Dr. David Weinberger is a co-author of the bestselling book, The Cluetrain Manifesto. His most recent book is “Everything Is Miscellaneous: The Power of the New Digital Disorder.” He is a Fellow at Harvard’s prestigious Berkman Center for the Internet & Society. His work has appeared in many publications, including multiple times in Harvard Business Review, Wired, Salon, and National Public Radio. He has been an adviser to presidential campaigns, a strategic marketing consultant, and a philosophy professor.
